Romanticizing Social Media

Okay but hear me out- social media platforms are a way of letting go.

You take nice pictures, screenshots and scenery and then these photos just sit in your gallery.  However some pictures get recycled when they are released online. By clicking “share” you are expressing missing a person or a place, you are showing joy and excitement or sadness and stress. Letting go of what’s been occupying your head.

Some moments captured on the invisible camera roll are waiting for their time to be released, after you’ve chewed on the events long enough. But that doesn’t go for all memories and that doesn’t go for all social media. Be wise with this, you are documenting your life to invisible people whose shell only is in sight. So ask yourself  twice, what will I show.

It’s a dangerous world and maybe by hiding our world we can make it through this perilous road. That is the reason there are no fairy tales on social media; even this romanticism got bonked.
