News that Marvel Studios started working on project Ms Marvel, the universe’s first muslim female superhero, have been going around the internet. 

Not just expecting super action scenes and amazing storytelling, many many Marvel fans are also looking forward to her debut, hoping she would bring along super representation and promote worldwide peace. 

But looking at her cartoons which were published as early as 2013, Kamala Khan aka. Ms Marvel apparently has super power fists- and one must wonder: how will that be perceived by the public ?

A muslim superhero battling evil better get her way through wit, kindness and peaceful inspiring actions, to be the human role model we wish to see in our world. This is the superhero we need now, and Marvel better get that right. 

The Ms Marvel series has great potential to contribute to the good in the world- to be a real superhero. But the room for error is big, and the effects irreversible. So do not shy away from voicing directive instructions via social media about your favorite super-heroine who carries a big responsibility on her shoulders. 

As a viewer and a fan you have the right to join the creative process and enjoy the results through many facettes- not just as a consumer. And remember, the more the voices, the louder they are. Let’s make sure our super-heroine is a good role model!
